APC ART is pleased to offer our global collector base this exceptional edition by legendary British artist Damien Hirst — “Where the Land Meets the Sea” (Yellow, lithograph) (2023).

This work is a lithograph on semi-gloss wove paper, hand-signed in gold marker at the bottom middle margin (“Damien Hirst”) and numbered from the edition of 666. It measures approximately 84 × 60 cm (~33 × 23.6 in). The signature is notably firm and bold, underlining the artist’s personal investment in each example.

In 2023, Hirst staged his landmark exhibition “Where the Land Meets the Sea” at Phillips’ London gallery (30 Berkeley Square) from July 20 to August 18. This highly anticipated show featured his new series of paintings: Coast Paintings, Sea Paintings and Seascapes, many of which debuted publicly for the first time at this event. The edition you are considering was issued in conjunction with this project — making it a direct physical link to that major moment in Hirst’s career.

Hirst’s enduring impact on contemporary art is profound: a central figure of the Young British Artists movement of the 1990s, he achieved fame through provocative works that explore life, death, science and consumerism. Iconic works such as “The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living” (the shark in formaldehyde) and the total-market-breaker auction sale of Beautiful Inside My Head Forever in 2008 (which raised over £111 million) established his market presence and cultural importance. With this edition, the key themes of nature’s temporality, erosion and the relationship between land & sea are woven into the image and its genesis in his recent exhibitions.

From an investment standpoint, this edition is compelling: it connects to one of Hirst’s most significant exhibitions in recent years; it bears his hand-signature in gold marker; it exists in a substantial size (84 × 60 cm); and it carries the provenance of being issued alongside the landmark “Where the Land Meets the Sea” event. These factors position it as a high-quality offering for serious collectors looking for both visual impact and rarity.

The work is in hand and will ship immediately from the USA. APC ART is pleased to offer archival framing options, including museum-grade materials, custom mounts and installation support — ensuring that your acquisition is not only ready to display but preserved for the long term.
