In 2018, SPACE INVADER, in cooperation with OTI/ (Over the Influence Gallery, Los Angeles) opened "INTO THE WHITE CUBE".

The exhibition publicly displayed the anonymous artist's canvas works for the first time.

It also marked 20 years since the anonymous street artist had a show in a museum or gallery, ”Into the White Cube" showcased the artist's signature 8-bit tile mosaics of video game characters and other notable figures in pop culture.

The exhibit was a phenomenal success, it also played a major role in bringing Invader back into the collective subconscious of the contemporary and street art world.

It was on the occasion of "Into the White Cube" INVADER released a series of three embossed screen prints; "Sunrays", "Hollyweed" and "Versailles".

These works were notable due to the fact that the images were ones the artist had consistently included in his repertoire of various mosaics he had spent the previous two decades placing across
Europe and North America.

The works immediately became amongst the artist's most sought after editions; from a small edition of 100 each, embossed and of course hand signed and numbered by the artist (with his “Made in Space blind stamp).

This specific work "Versailles" (Black Variant), the title; a nod to King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette , shows a Baroque style mirror, with the artist's signature ”INVADER” situated atop the mirror.

The work is of course, embossed, hand signed in graphite pencil as well as numbered from the edition of 100 with the artist’s “ Made in Space” blindstamp.

The work has been framed to archival standard with a brushed aluminum frame with spacer, matted with acid free matte board and protected from the sun with museum glass.

This was a $1500 frame job! THE WORK WILL ARRIVE READY TO HANG AND ENJOY.
