Hailing from Cork, Ireland; Fin Dac has emerged as one of the most promising artists in the ultra contemporary/ street art genre.

Fin Dac’s large scale murals have become tourist attractions that dot the globe, he has collaborated with major labels that extend far beyond the art world (see his Harmon Kardon collaboration), his editions are extremely sought after, selling out almost instantly upon release, his unique and original works (while extremely hard to come by) have started fetching mid five figure auction results.

In December of 2023, Fin achieved a staggering auction result of over $60,000 USD for a unique work (screen print and acrylic 1/1).

His highly stylized works are often imitated yet never duplicated; overall, it is safe to say that Fin Dac will continue to be a significant force in the art world, his collector base as well as prices continuously increasing.

This specific work; ”Sonica” is without doubt, one of his most beloved images.

The work has all of the elements that one expects from a signature Fin Dac work; the model (as he calls them; “his muse”) is seen standing nonchalantly, wearing a sonic youth t shirt (another stylistic element he often employs— the “muse” wearing a t shirt bearing an iconic rock album).

The work is a stark black and white monochrome work, with one exception, which is, without doubt the artist’s signature element; the model’s eyes are highlighted (in the foreground) with a bright orange/yellow hue matching a bright orange sun in the background.

This is an absolutely stunning work that will fit perfectly wherever it is placed.
