**APC ART is pleased to present this extremely rare hand-pulled silkscreen print — “55 Sunrises” by Sho Shibuya.**
Sho Shibuya has become one of the most critically discussed and widely praised contemporary artists of the new decade. Best known for his now iconic sunrise gradient paintings on the front page of the *New York Times*, Shibuya's work bridges painting, journalism, silence, anxiety, hope, and the passing of time into one of the most poetic conceptual bodies of work in recent art history. His sunrise works have been shown worldwide and have been aggressively collected by the most serious contemporary art collectors. Shibuya just exhibited with Unit Editions in London — further cementing his global presence and critical momentum.
This print — *published by Anthony Vaccarello & Saint Laurent Paris for Art Basel 2021* — was part of one of the most talked-about presentations at the fair. Shibuya wrapped the facade in these gradients — the quiet, emotional, meditative sunrise replacing the noise and chaos of media imagery. These works were produced in extremely limited quantities and the most desirable variants have become nearly impossible to source. This particular gradient is one of the most sought after variants — exclaiming “DEMOCRACY HAS PREVAILED..” against a sky blue background culminating in breathtaking tonal perfection.

These have become incredibly difficult to find — and they remain one of the most important conceptual print editions of the 2020s. Shibuya’s work has been praised by critics, institutions, and top-tier collectors across the globe — and the demand continues to escalate.
