This diasec-mounted giclée print on aluminium composite panel measures 100 x 100 cm (39.4 x 39.4 in) and is hand signed, dated, and labeled en verso by Invader, with the HENI label serving as the official certificate of authenticity. From an edition of only 774, this release marked Invader’s first major collaboration with HENI and coincided with Art Basel 2023.
The work will arrive in its original HENI packaging, exactly as issued by the publisher, having never been framed or displayed. It remains in brand-new condition — pristine, untouched, and preserved in its as-released state.
This release comes at a time of extraordinary demand for Invader’s work, driven by his headline exhibition “Triple Trouble: Fairey, Hirst & Invader” at London’s Newport Street Gallery (Oct 2025 – Mar 2026), presented in association with HENI. The exhibition unites three of the world’s most recognized contemporary artists — Shepard Fairey, Damien Hirst, and Invader — and has generated significant collector interest in each of their concurrent market offerings.
Visually, “Red Shot Marilyn” is a modern-day tribute to Andy Warhol’s legendary “Shot Marilyns” — most notably “Blue Shot Marilyn”, which sold for nearly $195 million at auction in 2022. Invader reconstructs this icon through his Rubikcubism aesthetic, building the portrait pixel by pixel, with precise chromatic blocks that merge digital and analog languages. The red backdrop and warm tonal structure give the work striking intensity, echoing Warhol’s pop glamour through Invader’s uniquely coded lens.
This edition represents a pivotal moment in Invader’s career — his partnership with HENI, his crossover into institutional recognition, and the heightened global visibility tied to Triple Trouble. With his auction record exceeding $1.2 million USD, and continuous blue-chip exposure, Invader’s market trajectory remains extremely strong.
