Space Invader has been plastering buildings, walls, under and overpasses across the globe since 1999 with his glass and ceramic tiled mosaics.

The enigmatic artist works in anonymity, his true identity known to only art world insiders.

He initially had a small, cult following amongst fellow Parisians in the early 2000s.

His work gradually became widely known as he ”INVADED” various metropolitan areas across the globe ; placing hundreds of his mosaics (with themes often influenced by their surroundings) in conspicuous areas that would garner attention.

It was after he joined the POWS (Pictures on Walls, the publisher of various Banksy prints) roster around, 2010 that he began to experience widespread acclaim, a larger collector base and consequently increased demand for his works.

Various exhibitions such as ”Invader 1000” (celebrating his one thousandth mosaic to be placed) as well as ”Invader; Top 10” (a collection of various ”Rubiks” , comprised of some of the artist’s favorite albums (Jonathan Levine Gallery, NYC) only lead to increased visibility and demand.

In the last few years, Invader has experienced a meteoric rise in the ”Ultra Contemporary” / ”Street Art” scene; achieving a seven figure auction record (Astroboy alias), his prints (that once could be purchased for around $150) fetch sums in the five figure range, regularly.

As far as living ”Street Artists” are concerned, the only other artist that is comparable in terms of demand for their work is another anonymous artist; ”Banksy” .

In 2022, Invader teamed up with Damien Hirst’s publishing house ”Heni” to release a series of four works; all in the style of what Invader refers to as ”Rubikcubism” .

These are works that are composed of various Rubik Cubes combined to form an extremely detailed image.

Hirst’s in house publisher ”Heni” has become known for their attention to detail and ultra high quality works, having previously published Hirst’s ultra popular series ”Cherry Blossoms” as well as a number of other suites.

When the ”Invader X Heni” series was announced, mere days before Art Miami, 2022 the art world was buzzing with expectation.

Heni, never one to disappoint, published a suite comprised of four works. This work ”Camouflage” is widely considered to be one of the two most popular images in the suite. It consists of the artists trademark ”Space Invader” against a backdrop of Rubik’s cubes.

Consisting of a giclee print mounted to dibond, then affixed to diasec; the work is a staggering FORTY INCHES BY FORTY INCHES in size. The work weighs in at nearly Thirty pounds.

The work is hand signed by Invader on a label affixed en verso (on the back). This label doubles as a certificate of authenticity, is numbered from the edition and stamped by Heni.

These works have started to be highly coveted by both veteran as well as new collectors.

The ”INVADER X HENI” series of works are not only stunning, large scale works; they are excellent investment pieces that can still be had at reasonable price points.

APC ART HAS FALSE MANY OF THESE WORKS AND IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR THE COLLECTOR TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL PIECES FROM THE SUITE AFTER RECEIVING THEIR FIRST.

These are simply incredible works that will illicit compliments as well as attention from anyone who views them.
