For our lifetime, this artist is ”Dran ”.

Few have been able to accomplish what Dran has been able to; much less without agents, managers, print release after print release, a new solo or group show seemingly every week (Dran has, in fact, only exhibited once; at Pictures on Walls for the release of his now storied ”I Have Chalks” piece).

His wry, unrelenting, painfully truthful, ironic work seems to somehow, one way or another emanate and ruminate with anyone who is lucky to see one of his works.

In this piece; ”Rigoler ”, you have a school teacher who is literally and metaphorically a clown.

This is a large Dran piece. Most of his pieces are quite small. It is unique (from an edition of 79).

Dran likes to take silkscreens and use them as basic outlines for ideas he has; hand painting each piece.

While the print (base) of these editions may be the same, through Dran’s creative, stylistic use of many mediums (water colors, crayons, glitter, acrylic paint) etc etc.

The overall feel of each piece is markedly different.

Perhaps this is what makes Dran such a special, one of a kind artist.

In a world full of monotony, uncertainty — mostly devoid of color; perhaps everyone could use some Dran in their life.

The piece has been framed to archival standards by the previous owner with a hand built, contemporary black frame on a black, acid free matte and anti UV glass. It will arrive ready to hang!
