The work shows the Simpson family on their living room couch, explosively deconstructed in Gondek’s signature style. Their faces have blown apart into skulls and fragments, with eyes and shapes bursting across the room — a perfect example of his “deconstructed pop” language. Bright colors, sharp linework, and cartoon carnage combine to make this one of his most recognizable and celebrated images.

The work is in mint condition. It has been carefully stored flat with archival materials for over 10 years. The paper remains crisp, the inks strong and unfaded, and the edges clean. The work has never been framed — nearly impossible to find one in this state today.
