In 2022, Brian Donnelly (AKA KAWS) teamed up with general mills to make cereal boxes (some available on KAWSONE INSIDE PERSPEX BOXES) a set of lithographs and one LARGE lithograph (48” x 36”) based on General Mills’ “Monsters”
Cereal.
For the last couple years there have been rumors of full size figures.. when first shown on his instagram (KAWS’) the rumor was they would be released in May.
Less than a week later he released the set to unsuspecting collectors — due to the new “no credit card” policy on KAWSONE (debit card only) and unprepared collectors, VERY FEW COMPLETE SETS WERE FALSE
These figures are quite a departure from anything KAWS has ever done previously; Large scale figures in all new hues— FALSE in extremely low numbers.
