*APC ART is proud to present “Minutemen (A23)” by Slawn.*

This *original, unique canvas* was executed in 2024 and debuted at Slawn’s now historic *solo exhibition at Saatchi Yates*, a show widely regarded as the moment that firmly cemented the artist’s trajectory toward global contemporary art stardom. Rendered in *spray paint and acrylic on canvas*, the work measures *29 cm x 21 cm x 2.9 cm (approximately 11.4 x 8.3 x 1.1 inches)* and stands as a powerful example of the artist’s most recognizable and culturally resonant visual language.

*Slawn has rapidly established himself as one of the most important and disruptive young voices in contemporary art.* Rising from London’s underground creative scene to international acclaim, his ascent has been nothing short of extraordinary. His work has been celebrated across major cultural platforms, most notably dominating the *Piccadilly Lights* — one of the most visible advertising spaces in the world — an achievement reserved for only the most culturally relevant artists of a generation.

*The Saatchi Yates debut exhibition was a phenomenon.* Thousands of collectors and admirers flooded the streets, forcing authorities to implement crowd control measures and temporarily shut down surrounding roads. The exhibition instantly sold out, including approximately *1,000 individual canvases*, each uniquely executed by the artist alongside 21 major works. Today, these early canvases are increasingly recognized not only as compelling works of art but as *important artifacts marking the beginning of the Slawn juggernaut.*

*Works from this exhibition are becoming exceptionally difficult to source.* Many entered prominent private collections immediately upon release and have not returned to the secondary market. As availability continues to tighten and institutional awareness grows, collectors are placing increasing importance on securing examples from this pivotal early period.

The *Minutemen* motif has become one of the defining pillars of Slawn’s practice. Characterized by confident line work, exaggerated anatomical construction, and an emotionally charged immediacy, the imagery channels a rare balance of spontaneity and control. The composition feels instinctive yet highly intentional — a visual language that has helped propel the artist into the upper echelon of emerging contemporary talent.

Importantly, this canvas has *never been removed from its original Saatchi Yates packaging.* The work remains housed exactly as issued by the gallery — secured within its protective clamshell folder and accompanied by the original presentation box — a level of preservation rarely seen and highly desirable to serious collectors.

The work is accompanied by a *certificate of authenticity from Saatchi Yates*, bearing the gallery’s blind stamp and signature from a gallery representative. Notably, the certificate is also *hand signed by Slawn using his full name in black ink* — an extremely rare occurrence that further elevates the importance and collectibility of this example.

*This is not simply a painting — it is a tangible piece of contemporary art history.* Early works tied directly to an artist’s breakout exhibition have historically demonstrated some of the strongest long-term performance within the contemporary market.

From an investment perspective, the opportunity presented here is compelling. Slawn’s market continues to strengthen as his cultural influence expands, institutional interest increases, and global collector demand accelerates. Early, unique canvases connected to defining career moments are precisely the category sophisticated collectors pursue.
