The work of Nick Thomm is practically indescribable;

If an artist were able to create a portal to an alternate dimension or reality with ink, resin and perspex; Thomm’s work(s) are what one would expect said “portal” to look like.

”Luminence” are Thomm’s latest edition(s).

The works were available for twenty four hours and came in two color variants; ”Blue” and “Orange” .

Although these are the base colors of the works, each work draws from a far ranging color pallet.

”Blue” (an edition of 425 works) starts from the exterior in an almost violet hue, as the viewer moves closer to the center of the edition, the hue(s) grow darker, eventually turning into a dark, “Royal Blue” color before fading into almost midnight black pigment.

”Orange” (an edition of only 407 works) starts with a neon purple hue, before fading into shades of neon Red(s), eventually flowing into a color that is perhaps, reminiscent of “Orange”, but not quite.

The work then quickly shifts into a bright Magenta hue before fading, as ”Blue” does into a stark, midnight black.

These are absolutely stunning works.

It has been quite awhile since the contemporary art realm had been handed a talent akin to Nick Thomm .

These works will transform any area they are placed in and will immediately capture not only the attention of those around the works but the imagination as well.

Nick Thomm is an Australian artist based in Los Angeles, recognized for his large-scale 'spectral paintings' and immersive art installations.

His work explores modern color systems, abstract image construction, and the merge of traditional art with technology, resulting in a hypnotic combination of form and color.

His artworks have been featured in prominent international galleries and museums including the New Museum in New York, the National Gallery of Victoria in Australia, and Moco Museum in Barcelona.

Notable commissions include works for the LVMH collection, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co. A three-story video wall on Oxford Street in London with W1 Curates, the design for McLaren's 'Storm Artura' supercar, and a mural for Miley Cyrus in her Los Angeles home.

Thomm maintains a second studio in Melbourne, Australia.
