The work has undergone the artist’s traditional
process of taking a cold pressed lithograph (in this case a four color lithograph), next the printmaker applies a layer of what Murakami calls “Pearlescent Silkscreen Varnish”.

Murakami’s prints often time have a “glistening”
effect to them that no other editions have; this is a result of the “Pearlescent Silkscreen varnish”.

For this work there has been a “Heavy layer” (as the artist describes it) of the pearlescent varnish applied and it has really set this work apart from the others.
