In October, 2021 - after a lengthy absence from the galleries of SOHO and Kensington ; mainly due to a hectic international schedule for public mural art and unwavering and strict commitment to producing only the highest quality artwork, Fin Dac's Highly anticipated solo exhibition "Afterglow/Undertow" opened to rave reviews from critics as well as collectors.

This exhibition was the culmination of over a decade of omnipresent street mural work as well as a year plus of strict, regimented studio work.

In hindsight, this exhibit was a long awaited breakthrough for Fin Dac ; a middle aged, Street artist from Cork, Ireland .

Known for mostly large scale, mural work; ”After tow / Underglow” brought Fin to a new level of artistry and respect as well as demand from the global contemporary art community.

His works, detailed depictions of Eurasian woman, delicately dressed in either Geisha Esque attire or casual jeans and t shirts emblazoned with iconic rock bands and/or albums became an absolute sensation.

The demand for his works reached an unprecedented level and have led the artist to innumerable collaborations and sponsorship deals (from Harman Kardon audio to figurines published via Silent Stage and so much more).

Without doubt, the most popular work(s) from the ”Afterglow/ Undertow” exhibit were a series of works prefixed with ”Fleur” . These editions (a triptych) were released and FALSE out instantly. Immediately trading for many multiples of their original price.

This work; ”EL-06", an extremely rare unique variant from the artist's ”Fleur" series is a tour du force of the elements that have made Fin Dac an international superstar; an artist that has been referred to by the UK Daily Mail as ”The new Banksy" on more than one occasion.

Measuring nearly forty inches in width, this is a piece that will draw praise and elicit conversation wherever it is placed.

This work, highlighted by various hand painted elements, the subject, adorned with pastel colored roses atop her head; her eyes aglow with blue radiance, contrast against a striking, neon hue.

Upon closer inspection the viewer may take note of the hand painted , red, lady bugs that have been carefully placed with acrylic throughout the subject's hair.

The conceptual planning, detail and high level of execution that has come to be expected from the artist's pieces is evident throughout this work.

Hand signed by the artist in pencil, bottom right margin "Fin Dac", atop the artists blind stamp. Hand numbered 1/1 (unique) next to the publisher's blindstamp.

Original and unique pieces from Fin Dac are extremely difficult to find as he has a backlog of a few years for commissions.

This type of piece SELDOM comes to the secondary market, often fetching well into the five figure range.

The artist's auction record for a unique piece, achieved at Phillips Auction House (December, 2023) is nearly $65,000.
