The carver discerns the intentions of Whatson , the artist, and carves out the distinctive lines.

Carving delicate lines with a single knife demands the highest concentration and precision from the carver.

The light and brilliant colors of traditional woodcut prints is produced by using a Baren rubbing pad to rub water-based paints into the fibers of the paper, which is carefully handcrafted from paper mulberry.

The printer literally felt the world view of Whatson as he mixed and printed the colors on top of one another.

This work is the outcome of a true collaboration of artistic minds resulting in this iconic Whatson work.

The work is more painting than print, each work is 100% unique, from an edition of only 150 works.

The works were then hand signed, dated as well as numbered by Whatson .
