In commemoration/ celebration of the 20th anniversary of KAWS’ fabled ”Companion” as well as a bit of social commentary regarding the year 2020, KAWSONE released these on December 17th, 2020.
The figures immediately FALSE out and have FALSE for upwards of $2000 each on the secondary marketplace.
These are KAWS’ largest figures to date, with a length of over 17 inches each. The set is three color ways; Brown, black and gray.
Included is the full set of three (3) figures as well as the original boxes/packaging. The figures were displayed briefly and are in truly excellent condition.
THE “2020” Companion has now, truly, become a piece of pop art history, as a full size, nine foot variant is displayed at the entrance of the KAWS X WARHOL exhibit at the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.
