Mark Maggiori is known for his picturesque paintings of the old west; cowboys and Indians parade amongst sacred ground and below brightly lit stars.

The artist’s works are so meticulously accurate, at first glance, the viewer may believe Maggiori is recreating a picture he was given;

when, in fact, the artist has always had interest in the old west days.

Whether it is a lonesome Indian, thrust upon his trusty steed, covered by a hand woven blanket, below Arora Borealis at night or a group of Cowboys sloughing through desert at rapid speed; there are few artists who create old west scenes like Maggiori .

In early 2025, after much of Southern California was ravaged by wildfires; many artists teamed up to execute charity releases to benefit the victims of these tragic events.

Released via Static Medium; ”Chumash of Malibu” was Maggiori’s gift to the victims of the wildfires.

The work is absolutely stunning; what appears to be an old shaman holds a sacred, spiritual, Indian tool reserved for holy men to make prayers.
