Hailing from Southern California, Seth Armstrong began painting his highly stylized, detailed paintings of the varied landscapes that surrounded him;
Picturesque, California countrysides, the cities he frequented as well as other images of his daily life, in his teens, in SOCAL.

”Blue Shade” is a landscape work by Armstrong full of his signature stylistic motifs.

A soft, Southern California landscape is dotted with contemporary structures, amidst finely detailed foliage. The work is set against a backdrop of sky, teaming with hues of pastel pinks and blues. A truly stunning work that has the power and potential to transform any environment in which it is placed.

Armstrong has spent the last two decades of his life refining his craft.

In order to pursue his lifelong dream of being a full time artist, Armstrong decided to pursue a BFA at the California College of Art.

After graduating with various honors, Armstrong made the decision to study his craft abroad, which took his studies to the cities as well as the storied, fabled countrysides of Holland , as well as the various other surrounding cities and countries.

It would be Holland, where Armstrong's exploration into the medium of oil paint influenced his unique consideration of light and the effect it has on the various brightly colored, detailed landscapes and images of daily life as it relates to Armstrong .

The various results of Armstrong's decades long Loyalty to his craft and his goals have molded him Into one of the most promising young artists of our time.

This work, entitled ”Blue Shade" is simply Armstrong at his best.
