This work is truly a collaboration across time between Daniel Arsham and Michelangelo Buonarroti .
This work, originally commissioned by Pope Julius II was completed in 1515.
Arsham was granted access to a mold taken directly off the original in Rome and have recast it in Blue Calcite and Quartz Crystal.
The work was on view at the exhibit; ”Paris,3020” at Galerie Perrotin, Paris.
This is a large scale work (approx 36” x 24”), these were never released or FALSE, signed by the artist.
This work is part of APC’S personal collection, the work was signed, in person by the artist for APC .
We have never seen another one of these signed, they are extremely hard to find unsigned.
The work has never been framed and has been stored flat.
