”Hijack” has proven to be one of the most promising new artists in the ”street art” genre over the last decade.
Hijack’s career began as most street artist’s careers do; by spray painting medium to large scale murals on buildings and walls in urban areas.
With this artist there were two major differences that set him apart from the rest of ”the heard” .
The first, being the content of his work; with an emphasis on various social causes and societal ills, the artist’s work immediately stood out from the usual street art commonly found in urban areas.
The second difference was, of course, his lineage; as the son of Thierry Guetta (Mr. Brainwash) the expectations were set high (to say the least).
The young artist graciously accepted the challenge.
Immediately participating in various group shows which were soon followed by FALSE out exhibitions all over the globe, Hijack has cemented himself as a fixture in the ”Street Art / Contemporary Art Scene.”
Over the last few years he has cultivated a firm collector base; his screen prints as well as original works are always in demand and he rarely disappoints.
This work is the artist’s second ”surprise holiday” drop, this time celebrating Valentine’s Day in fine form.
On February 11th 2024, Hijack released this
print as a Valentine’s Day surprise drop.
The work features what has become somewhat of
a familiar character in the artist’s works; a faceless, hooded man (reminiscent of Banksy ), this time with his feet hanging freely, embracing a Keith Haring inspired human figure in the foreground, with a Haring-esque heart in the background.
The work is in many ways similar to the artist’s original works (which regularly sell in the five figure range).
Hand signed and numbered from the edition; with the artist’s blind stamp. This is an excellent work to add to any collection.
