This work; ”Barcode” is without doubt , one of the most iconic works of art the 21st century has given us.

The work shows a spotted leopard, having broken free from a cage, perched upon circus style wheels.

Upon closer inspection, the viewer will notice the cage is actually a barcode , complete with identifying numbers below the cage.

It is this style of cultural commentary that has made BANKSY one of the most beloved artists of our time.

Published by Pictures on walls in 2004; the work is in excellent condition overall.

The top and bottom margins show approx. 1/4 of an inch of (light) discoloration consistent with long term framing.

This imperfection is EXTREMELY MINOR and will not be able to be seen once the work is matted again, if the new owner chooses not to matte the work, the discoloration will fade quickly.
